Our Story

Digital Nomad Studio is a software studio and AI agency, built on friendship, experience, and a shared belief that technology should solve real problems.

Between us we are based on the Central Coast and in Newcastle. We work with businesses across the Hunter, the Coast, Sydney and the rest of Australia - close enough to sit down with you when it matters, and set up to work well when it does not.

We first connected through a mutual love of filming local football matches and live streaming them online. What began as a sideline hobby quickly turned into bigger conversations about how technology could remove friction and make everyday tasks simpler and smarter.

Our Experience

Mike brings more than 30 years of experience in engineering and business analysis, working across complex systems and translating business needs into practical, structured solutions. In recent years he has been building AI into the studio's own products, from document analysis in PropertyBuyWise to the assistant that runs on this site. Les is a trained cartographer and an experienced developer. He specialises in bridging the gap between real-world challenges and intuitive digital solutions. He maps out the friction points in a workflow and designs the most efficient route to solve them.

Together, we combine structured thinking with creative design. We enjoy taking messy problems, understanding them deeply, and building software that feels simple because the thinking behind it is not.

What We Do

Digital Nomad Studio is a software studio and an AI agency. We design and build software for small and medium businesses - iOS apps, SaaS products and internal tools - alongside our own applications across sport, business and property. And we put AI to work where it earns its place: automating the admin that fills a working week, building custom agents and assistants, and turning ideas into working prototypes in weeks rather than months.

The name reflects how we operate. We believe meaningful products can be built from anywhere, provided you understand the problem well enough. Our approach is deliberate, user-focused, and grounded in real experience, whether the product is ours or a client's.
